When you use the mobile app for the first time, you can choose a 6-digit code or a biometric authentication method, such as fingerprint or facial recognition. After that, you sign in to the app using your chosen method.
The app will occasionally ask you to renew strong authentication when you open it. If the app has signed you out after a certain period, you will not receive push notifications until you have authenticated yourself again. You will still receive notifications by email, but remember to open the app from time to time.
When you stop using the app, you do not need to sign out. The app locks automatically after three minutes. If you want to close the app immediately, open the app settings, go to Sign out, and then select Close app.
If you want to remove your user data from the app completely, open the settings, go to Sign out, and then select Sign out. After this, you will no longer receive push notifications about new Suomi.fi Messages. When you use the app again, you will need to authenticate yourself using your online banking credentials or mobile certificate.
If the app does not work on your mobile device for any reason, you can also read your messages in the Suomi.fi web service at www.suomi.fi/messages
If your mobile device breaks or is lost, you can sign out of the Suomi.fi app via the Suomi.fi web service or by using another device.
