Deleting messages

How to delete a message:

• Open the message.
• Press the Delete message button at the end of the message.
• The message will move to the Deleted folder. It will remain in the Deleted folder for 60 days. After that, it will be permanently deleted.

The authority can still receive and respond to the message you have sent, even if you delete it from the Sent folder.

When the message is in the Deleted folder, you can restore it to its original folder by opening the message and pressing the Restore button at the end. The button will indicate to which folder the message will be restored.

If the message is the first message in a message thread, it will be removed from the Deleted folder only when all newer messages in the thread have been deleted.

It is not possible to delete several messages at once.

How to find the Deleted folder:

• In the Suomi.fi online service on a mobile device: In the Messages section, select the dark blue Menu button and then Deleted.
• In the Suomi.fi online service on a computer: In the Messages section, select Deleted from the menu on the left.
• In the Suomi.fi mobile app: Select Other folders from the bottom menu and then Deleted at the top of the screen.
