Accessibility

Suomi.fi services have been designed to take accessibility into consideration. A key objective is equality, ensuring that everyone without discrimination can 

  • use the services 
  • understand the text describing the services.

The Suomi.fi services use the criteria for the Finnish Federation of the Visually Impaired Saavutettavuus huomioitu (accessibility observed) audit. For more information on the audit, please see the Saavutettavuus huomioitu page (in Finnish).  

The Regional State Administrative Agency for Southern Finland supervises the implementation of the accessibility requirements in the whole country. You will find more information about the statutory requirements on the Saavutettavuus (Accessibility) website (in Finnish).

Suomi.fi e-Identification has already been awarded the Saavutettavuus huomioitu stamp.

The directive of the European Parliament and of the Council specifies the minimum level of accessibility to public administration digital services. Directive on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies (2016/2102).
