Accessibility of the mobile application for Suomi.fi Messages

This accessibility statement explains how the Suomi.fi mobile application complies with the Act on the Provision of Digital Services, what shortcomings there are in the accessibility of the mobile application and how you can give us feedback on accessibility issues. 

The Digital and Population Data Services Agency is responsible for this mobile application. The Suomi.fi application is available for Android and iOS mobile phones and tablets. We want as many users as possible to be able to access our digital services. We take accessibility into account in the development of digital services.

How accessible is the mobile application?

The Android and iOS applications meet the accessibility requirements of the EU standard EN 301 549 for mobile applications.

Did you notice any gaps in accessibility? 

We are constantly striving to improve the accessibility of the mobile application. If you observe any issues that are not described on this page, please let us know and we will do our best to fix any shortcomings. We will respond to requests and comments as soon as possible, but no later than within two weeks.

Accessibility monitoring

Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom monitors the implementation of accessibility requirements. If you are not satisfied with the response you have received or you do not receive a response at all within two weeks, you can give feedback to Traficom. The website of Traficom provides detailed information on how to file a complaint and how the matter will be processed.

How have we tested accessibility?

The observations in this accessibility statement are based on an assessment made by the Digital and Population Data Services Agency's accessibility expert on whether the mobile application meets legal requirements. The assessment has not identified any accessibility shortcomings according to EN 301 549.

The Suomi.fi mobile applications were published in summer 2018.  The updated versions of the Suomi.fi mobile applications were published in spring 2024.

This statement was prepared on 5 May 2021. The statement was last updated on 1 January 2025.

This statement applies to the application's Android version 2.0.4 and iOS version 2.3.
