2This accessibility statement explains how well the Suomi.fi e-Authorizations online service complies with the Act on the Provision of Digital Services, what shortcomings there are in the accessibility of the website and how you can give us feedback on accessibility problems.
The Digital and Population Data Services Agency is responsible for this online service. We want as many users as possible to be able to access our digital services. We take accessibility into account in the development of digital services.
How accessible is the website?
This online service largely meets the A and AA level accessibility criteria required by law (WCAG criteria 2.1). The online service has some shortcomings in accessibility, which are described in more detail below.

Content or features that are not yet accessible
- Some of the colour combinations do not meet the minimum colour contrast requirement. (WCAG 1.4.3)
- There is no keyboard access to all of the content and functionality. In certain checkboxes there is no way to check or uncheck it with the keyboard. (WCAG 2.1.1)
- Keyboard focus is not visible in certain user interface elements. (WCAG 2.4.7)
- Focus order is not logical. On opening some pages the focus is positioned in a random location. Focus is not placed such that assistive technologies are able to announce the new content. (WCAG 1.3.2, 2.4.3)
- The time limit is not announced via assistive technologies and is not controllable by the user. (WCAG 2.2.1)
- The page title is not updated in certain sections of the online service. (WCAG 2.4.2)
- Certain user interface components are not programmatically determinable. There are some unnamed elements, and certain form elements do not have an associated label. Additional information is not read via assistive technologies. Tabs have been implemented as links, and activating them does not provide any feedback via assistive technologies. Status changes in checkboxes are not announced via assistive technologies. The date picker is not interpreted correctly by assistive technologies. (WCAG 1.3.1, 4.1.2)
- Certain status messages are not programmatically available. The screen reader is not able to announce error messages. Assistive technologies are not able to provide confirmation on adding or removing a mandate, or on cancelling an action. (WCAG 4.1.3)
An effort will be made to correct the shortcomings listed in this statement during 2023.
