Local state administration
The following agencies are responsible for managing tasks of the local state administration:
- police departments
- enforcement offices
- prosecutor’s offices
- employment and economic development offices
- tax offices
- Finnish Customs
- public legal aid offices.
Kela, which functions as an off-budget agency, also has an extensive network of local offices.
Most of the operational areas of the local state administrative authorities are in accordance with the current regional division.
