Social assistance

If your income does not cover essential daily expenses, you can apply for

1. basic social assistance from Kela and

2. supplementary and preventive social assistance from your wellbeing services county. 

Before applying for basic social assistance, you must find out if there are some other benefits or sources of income available to you. Social assistance is the last-resort form of financial assistance.
