Screenings

The purpose of screening is to identify persons who suffer from a particular disease or are at high risk of developing it. Screening helps detect the disease early, making it easier to treat it and improving the prognosis. The Finnish national screening programme includes both cancer screening and screening during pregnancy. The screening tests are voluntary and free of charge.
