You can apply for permission to use the emblem by submitting a free-form application to the National Police Board. An identified and justified application will be submitted to the registry of the National Police Board.
To whom and on what terms
Permission can only be given for private use of the emblem and it cannot be given automatically. The National Police Board may impose specific conditions on the use of the emblem.
Each permit application is processed on a case-by-case basis, considering the intended use stated in the application in relation to the symbolic value of the police emblem.
As a rule, permission to use the emblem is not granted to persons other than those belonging to the police organisation, with some exceptions.
Processing time
The processing of the permit application takes from two weeks to two months, depending on the content of the application.
Period of validity
Depending on the purpose of use, permission to use the police emblem can be granted for a fixed period of time or until further notice.
