Rock blasting notice

The police must be notified of rock blasting work at least seven days before the blasting.

You can submit a notification of rock blasting work in the police e-service. The notification can also be submitted to a police station or a police service point. A printable form is available on the police website.

To whom and on what terms

The police must be notified of rock blasting work at least seven days before the blasting begins.

The notice must indicate the location of the blasting site, the estimated duration of the site, the types of explosives used, information on the blasting work manager and the storage and storage locations of the explosives.

Based on the notice, the police may impose restrictions on the intended use of explosives as well as other use-related precautionary measures when necessary. The police can also prohibit the use of explosives, if it might impose a risk of personal injury, environmental damage or property damage.


Period of validity

The notice is valid for the duration of the blasting work mentioned in the notification.
