Suomi.fi e-Identification may be experiencing a temporary interruption, which can prevent use of the service for a short time. Try again later. Always complete identification by clicking on the identification icon on the page of the e-service in question instead of using a link or an address stored into your browser's history.
Use the following common methods when identification in a service fails:
- Clear the browser cache and try logging in again
- Try using the service on a different browser.
- Try using the service on a different device.
The information security settings you have in place or your browser’s plug ins can also prevent e-Identification. e-Identification is also not possible with old devices or browser versions the use of which involve information security risks.
During e-identification, the system which you are logging in to retrieves your address data in both Finnish and Swedish (the official languages of Finland). However, the address data can only be displayed on the identification page in one language. The e-service selects the language in which the information is shown. The information is displayed in Finnish or Swedish for all residents of the same municipality, depending on the primary language used in the municipality.
The identification system retrieves your data from the Digital and Population Data Services Agency’s Population Information System. You can update your e-mail address in the Personal Data ServiceOpens in a new window. maintained by the Digital and Population Data Services Agency.
After logging in to the service, you will first see your ´basic data. By clicking on the View icon, you will see more extensive data. You can give new information or correct your information in the Enter information section.
