Termination of employment

An employer may terminate the employment contract of a regular employee, either on substantial and pressing grounds arising from the individual employee, or for reasons of redundancy. As an employee, you may terminate your employment contract without giving any reason to the employer. A temporary employment contract cannot be terminated prematurely unless this was specially agreed in the contract or later during the employment. At the end of your employment you are entitled on request to a written certificate from your employer specifying how long you were employed and the nature of your duties.
