Unemployment

If you lose your job or you are laid off, you should 

1. register as an unemployed jobseeker at Job Market Finland's “E-services” section immediately. If you cannot use the online service, visit the employment services in your municipality. Contact details can be found on the municipal website.
2. apply for the unemployment benefit from your unemployment fund or Kela. 

You can also receive unemployment benefit if you are working part-time, on partial disability pension or a part-time entrepreneur.
