The starting point for housing for the elderly is to enable a safe and independent housing as long as possible in the person`s own home or in another living environment. Housing services for older people can include services provided at home, communal housing or 24-hour service housing. Wellbeing services counties may provide also transport services for elderly people with limited means who are not able to use public transport.
