Helsinki Vocational College offers four workshops for young people to try out various jobs: a Media Immersion Workshop, a Metal Workshop and WooDoo Workshop. The workshops are intended primarily for unemployed 15- to 19-year-olds. The workshops can admit young people under 25 if space allows.

The workshops allow attendants to work on exercises and outside orders as well as to improve their vocational skills. The work experience improves their opportunities to be accepted to formal studies. The workshops last an average 5 months.
