Working life-oriented teaching (TEPPO)
- Public service
Working life-oriented basic education familiarises students with working life already during their basic education. The studies of working-life oriented basic education alternate on-the-job training periods at workplaces with teaching at school. The teaching reinforces the students’ working life skills, creates flexible study paths and adds versatility to competence recognition and acknowledgement.
The operations support the students in finding their own strengths and getting to know themselves and also create opportunities for learning about working life. TEPPO students will have five to seven on-the-job training periods over a school year. The application procedure to flexible, working life-oriented studies takes place in spring. The students of the school’s 7th and 8th grades can apply for the studies.
