The City of Tampere is responsible for offering this service to persons whose municipality of residence is Tampere and who belong to the target group of local government employment pilot projects. Tampere is also responsible for the service for immigrants of Pirkanmaa who are in the process of integration. Exceptionally, within the Pirkanmaa municipalities, the service does not apply to immigrants ...

Do the following

If you wish to use a work try-out to determine your interest and suitability for a particular job or occupation, contact your personal counsellor or the psychologist at the City of Tampere Employment and Growth Services who will give you guidance. You can also send a contact request to an expert via the E service for personal customers. You may procure a work try-out placement yourself. You can also obtain tips on jobs in the E services for personal customers.

The work try-out will be agreed with you in the employment plan or replacement plan. Unemployed job seekers may receive unemployment benefit at a higher rate for the duration of the work try-out. The increased unemployment benefit can be paid for a maximum of 200 days.

Replacement plans include an activation plan, integration plan, and a cross-sectoral employment plan.

Information on all service channels is not available in your chosen language. Change the language of the site to receive information on service channels in other languages.

To whom and on what terms

The work try-out is implemented with tasks that are new to you. However, if you have been out of the labour force for a long period of time, it may be possible to organise a work try-out in an occupation or tasks you have previously carried out. The question then is about supporting your return to work through a work try-out. A work try-out cannot, however, be organised for recent graduates to gain work experience in their own field.

The work try-out scheme may be organised by a company, a private entrepreneur, a municipality, a federation of municipalities, another organisation, a foundation, a government agency or an institution. A private person cannot act as organiser of a work try-out measure.

The service is free of charge.
