Moles and skin lesions that are new or have changed are assessed at health centres. If the skin lesion is abnormal, a tissue sample may be taken, or it may be removed altogether.
Skin lesions are removed only on medical grounds. Removal of benign pigmented lesions, seborrheic keratoses (senile warts) and skin tags that cause only cosmetic harm is not performed by health centres.
