Sheep and goat premiums

Sheep and goat premiums include ewe and nanny goat premiums paid in the AB areaand the slaughtered lamb and goatling premiums paid throughout the country. You may receive the premium if you are an active farmer and you have a sheep or goat farm.

You can apply for sheep and goat premiums annually in the Vipu service. The annual application period is at the beginning of the year.

To whom and on what terms

The ewe premiums are paid in support area AB in mainland Finland, in mainland Åland and in support area AB in the outer archipelago. The premium is determined based on the number of days of eligibility of the animals under your control in the sheep and goat register.

The nanny goat premiums are paid in support area AB in mainland Finland, in mainland Åland and in support area AB in the outer archipelago. The premium is determined based on the number of days of eligibility of the animals under your control in the sheep and goat register.

Slaughtered lamb and goatling premiums are paid throughout the country. The premium is determined based on the number of slaughtered lambs and goatlings during the support year as recorded in the sheep and goat register.
