School health care is a health service for pupils in basic education that promotes the wellbeing, health and safety of the whole school and student community.

Each school has a designated school nurse and physician. As a pupil, you will see your school nurse every year at a health check-up. In grades 1, 5 and 8, the examinations are more extensive and include both the school nurse and the schoo ...

To whom and on what terms

The school nurse informs pupils and guardians about the start of the check-ups. You can contact a school nurse via Wilma or Maisa or by calling the nurse at your school. Pupils can visit the school nurse without an appointment during the agreed office hours. If you wish to see a physician, you must first visit the school nurse. You can find the school nurse’s contact information on the school's website. If your school does not have a nurse, you can contact the centralised service number for school nurses at 09 4191 5300.
