Reimbursement of travel and overnight accommodation expenses incurred by applying for work

Apply for reimbursement within one month (30 days) of participating in a job interview or employment service. Fill out the form and send it to the City of Tampere Employment and Growth Services. Choose form KK611.

Do not include travel receipts in the application, since the reimbursement is EUR 0.21 per kilometre. The deductible for travel expenses is 12 euros and the maximum reimbursement is 200 euros per journey.

Overnight accommodation costs are paid based on actual expenses up to 80 euros per day. Attach a receipt and a copy of the expenses incurred.

The City of Tampere Employment Services may contact the employer to check the job interview information. If you do not want the City of Tampere Employment and Growth Services to contact the employer, attach a certificate of your interview to the application.

Reimbursement of travel and overnight accommodation expenses related to employment services requires that you are unemployed and a client of the City of Tampere Employment and Growth Services. Costs may be reimbursed if you attend a job interview and the job you apply for lasts for at least two weeks and the average working time is no less than 18 hours a week, and if paying the reimbursement is deemed appropriate in helping you find employment.

Your overnight accommodation expenses on the interview journey can be reimbursed if the overnight stay in the locality of the interview is necessary due to traffic connections. In addition, the City of Tampere Employment and Growth Services will assess how easily and at what distance a suitable employee could be found for the job. Reimbursement of travel and accommodation expenses must be applied for from the employment pilot municipality or TE Office within one month (30 days) from the date of travel or, if you have stayed overnight, from the end of the trip.

Costs may be reimbursed if:

• you participate in the entrance examination or aptitude assessment of labour market training
• you familiarise yourself with the educational institution organising the labour market training before the beginning of the training to clarify the accessibility and other suitability of the educational institution due to a handicap or illness.
• you visit the City of Tampere Employment and Growth Services and your visit is deemed necessary and you need transport services due to a handicap or illness.
• you participate in a specialist assessment organised by the City of Tampere Employment and Growth Services.
