Before submitting an application for deviation, you should contact the ELY Centre in your area. An application for deviation from a protection decision must be made in writing.
Submit a proposal to the ELY Centre using the general form. Add a free-form application with the following items as an attachment:
- the extent of the deviation from the protection decision
- justifications for the deviation
- a plan for the measure required for the deviation.
To whom and on what terms
The building’s owner can apply for a deviation from the building protection decision. If the application is submitted by someone else than the owner of the building, they must attach the owner’s consent to the application.
However, permission to deviate cannot be granted if the building would no longer fulfil the conditions for protection as a result.
