Lodging an export declaration as a personal customer

Before sending goods outside the EU or within the EU customs territory but outside the fiscal territory, you must, in certain situations, submit an electronic export declaration to Customs.
You may have to declare goods for export, that is, lodge an export declaration, for example if you send goods to be repaired, replaced or used temporarily. In addition, an export declaration must be lodged for removal goods if you move outside the EU fiscal territory.
The export procedure ends when the goods leave the EU territory. The exporter, that is, the sender of the goods, is provided with a decision on release with confirmation of exit which acts as a declaration for exporting the goods.
As an exporter, you are responsible for the export declaration. You may lodge the export declaration personally or authorise an agent (in general, a forwarding agency) to lodge the declaration on your behalf.
