Integration plan

The City of Tampere is responsible for providing the service to unemployed jobseekers and immigrants or foreign-language speakers who are employed and in services promoting employment and whose municipality of residence is Akaa, Hämeenkyrö, Ikaalinen, Juupajoki, Kangasala, Kihniö, Lempäälä, Mänttä-Vilppula, Nokia, Orivesi, Parkano, Pirkkala, Punkalaidun, Pälkäne, Ruovesi, Sastamala, Tampere, Urjal ...

Do the following

1. Register as a jobseeker with the TE office.

2. Once you have registered as a jobseeker with the TE Office, the TE Office will refer you to Tampere Employment and Growth Services if you belong to the target group of the local government pilots on promoting employment.

3. The International Tampere Skills Centre OSKE of the City of Tampere Employment and Growth Services will contact you either by phone, email or mail to make an appointment for preparing an integration plan. The City of Tampere’s Employment and Growth Services will commission an interpreter, if necessary.

To whom and on what terms

To draw up an integration plan, you must have a valid residence permit or a residence card, or have registered you right of residence. Nordic nationals and their family members are also entitled to an integration plan if they have lived in Finland for less than 3 years and there is a need for such a plan.

The following are not entitled to an integration plan:

• those staying temporarily in Finland with a visa or not requiring a visa (e.g. tourists or seasonal workers)

• those awaiting a first decision on a residence permit

• persons who have the citizenship of another state in addition to Finnish citizenship

• Finnish citizens who are moving back to Finland after an absence lasting years
