Incident report in operations under an environmental permit and the general notification procedure

You must submit an incident report about incidents that take place at an institution subject to an environmental permit or in operations under the general notification procedure, as well as for other occurrences that deviate from normal.
Do the following
Submit the report to the ELY Centre without delay. Submit the report electronically through AVI’s e-service. Select the environmental protection e-service from the list of services (YLVA). After logging in, choose Task: “Incident report”. Fill in the information and submit the form.
The ELY Centre will process the report primarily within three days. The ELY Centre will assess the need for possible follow-up measures and issue instructions for them.
To whom and on what terms
The ELY Centre processes the incident reports of operators whose environmental permit has been granted or the report processed by the Regional State Administrative Agency (AVI).
Submit the report on AVI’s e-service. The operator must grant Suomi.fi e-Authorizations for the person who will submit the report to act on behalf of the company. Strong identification is required for using the e-service.
Deadline
The report must be submitted immediately.
Processing time
The ELY Centre will process the report primarily within three days.
