Our imaging services are provided by HUS. Our most common imaging services are x-ray, ultrasound and magnetic resonance examinations.

There are several HUS x-ray facilities in Uusimaa. You can visit any HUS x-ray unit, but please note that not all facilities offer the full range of examinations.

Do the following

X-ray examinations of bones and lungs

You can visit any HUS x-ray facility. The HUS x-ray units in our area do not take appointments. Just show up at your most convenient facility, take a number and wait for your turn.

Dental x-ray examinations

You can visit any HUS x-ray facility that offers dental x-ray examinations. The only x-ray facility in our area that offers non-urgent dental x-ray examinations and lateral skull radiography is the walk-in x-ray unit in Mäntsälä.

Ultrasound and mammography examinations

For ultrasound and mammography examinations, you can book an appointment with your most convenient HUS x-ray facility by phone or online. Make sure to arrive on time to your appointment. You will be called by name when it is your turn.

Other imaging services

Your doctor will give you instructions on how to book an appointment, or they can book the appointment for you. If your doctor books the appointment, you will receive the details by post. The letter will include the date and time of your appointment as well as instructions for preparing for your examination and how to cancel your appointment if you cannot make it. Please note that HUS charges EUR 50.80 for missed (non-cancelled) appointments.

Your doctor will give you your results after your examination.

To whom and on what terms

You will need a referral from a doctor or a dentist for all x-ray examinations.
