To whom and on what terms
The service is intended for persons with serious disabilities. You may be reimbursed for necessary and reasonable home alterations required for managing the daily life as well as costs incurred by acquiring equipment and devices.
Background information
People with disabilities may be reimbursed for necessary alterations made to their home. Some wellbeing services counties also reimburse alterations made to the homes of elderly people.
Alterations that qualify for reimbursement include widening doors, building ramps, alterations to bathrooms, toilets and water pipes, replacing fixed furnishings as well as building and interior decoration materials, and the design work related to these alterations. Equipment that qualifies for reimbursement includes lifting and alarm devices. In addition, equipment and devices can be provided free of charge for long-term use to people with severe disabilities.
