Importers and exporters trading with non-EU countries need a business identifier (EORI number) for almost all customs declarations. Many permits granted by Customs also require EORI registration. EORI (Economic Operators Registration and Identification System) is an EU-wide system for registering importers, exporters and other economic operators. An EORI number identifies the operator.

Processing time
Applications are processed without delay after they are approved for processing. An application can be approved for processing when it contains all the details needed to make a decision, i.e. the application is fully completed and accompanied with the necessary attachments.
