Background information

Day activities are organised for persons with disabilities, the elderly and other social welfare service users to support their ability to cope independently, promote relationships, and offer meaningful activities. These day activities include playing games, listening to music, dancing or engaging in other physical activity, visiting the outdoors, and discussing various issues in a guided or informal manner.

If a person with severe disabilities is not able to participate in work activities, they are entitled to participate in day activities five days a week. A person of working age who participates in day activities can also try participating in work activities.
