Compensation for travel costs for persons liable for non-military service

The service location can apply for compensation for costs due to journeys for leave if tickets cannot be provided beforehand to the person liable for non-military service. Persons liable for non-military service have a right for free journeys for leave from the assigned accommodation to their respective place of domicile.

Do the following

The service location will provide the tickets before the journey for leave. If tickets cannot be provided beforehand and the person liable for service has to pay for the journey, the costs will be compensated based on the receipts. Then the service location can apply for compensation from the Centre for Non-Military Service.

The application of travel costs is made in Sivariweb. Attach the original receipts or other proof of expenses to the application.

To whom and on what terms

The service location will request receipts or travel card information to verify the costs before paying the compensation to the person liable for non-military service.

The service location can apply for compensation for costs due to journeys for leave if it has not been possible provide the tickets beforehand.

Applications period:

  • Costs between 1 January and 30 June should be applied for by 15 July
  • Costs between 1 July and 31 December should be applied for by 15 January

Applications are processed in approximately one month from the date of receipt or, if the application is not complete, after the applicant has supplied the necessary documents and clarifications.
