Making a child welfare notification

A contact or a notification launches an assessment of service needs during which employees from Soite meet family members together and separately and meet parties that the family knows from before. The purpose of the work is to find out what kind of help and support the family needs and what kind of services would help the family.

You can contact or make a child welfare notification to the emergency social services around the clock by phone or online via DigiSoite’s Omapalvelu-service.

To whom and on what terms

You can contact us if you are worried about your child or your own or your family’s situation and need help resolving the situation. Those who are in cooperation with children, adolescents and parents can also contact us when there is concern about the situation in a family or about a child’s situation and the support from other quarters is not sufficient on its own. Private citizens can contact if they are worried about a child’s or a family’s situation.
