Grant for preparation of groundwater area protection plans
- Service
- Nationwide except the Åland Islands
- Public service
Municipalities may apply for discretionary state grants for the preparation of groundwater area protection plans.
Do the following
The applicant should know the location, objectives, schedule, costs and other funding of the project and the most detailed plan possible to implement the project.
If possible, submit your application online. Choose the ELY Centre responsible for the area in which the site is located.
If you are unable to apply online, please use the printable application form instead. Send it to the registry of the ELY Centre in question. The registries’ contact information is provided on the application form.
How to apply for payment of the grant
Once you have received a positive decision on grant, apply for payment electronically in the regional administration’s e-service. Fill in the application carefully and attach the required attachments.
If it is not possible to use the e-service or if you do not have the tools needed for strong authentication, you can apply for payment of the grant using a printable form. Submit the application for payment by post to the KEHA Centre or as an annex to the ELY Centre’s general case form.
To whom and on what terms
The grant is discretionary, and the amount and scope of funding are defined in the application announcements published annually in the autumn. Application announcements are published on the ELY centres’ website. Information on groundwater area protection plans is available on the environmental administration’s website.
