We employ a team of professionals who can talk you through your concerns. We can give you advice and guidance on the phone, or refer you to the correct service provider. Our professionals are also trained to assess the urgency of your situation and ensure that you always get the help you need. This service is primarily designed for families with children under the age of 18 years who live or have a residence in Hyvinkää, Järvenpää, Nurmijärvi, Mäntsälä, Pornainen or Tuusula in the wellbeing services county of Central Uusimaa.

We also welcome calls from children and adolescents themselves.

To whom and on what terms

When you have a question about yourself

  • It is always best to contact social services as soon as you become aware of a potential problem. Our team of professionals can help you to identify the right channels of support for you and your loved ones. If you need help urgently, you can call our social services emergency number, and if you believe that someone’s life or health could be in danger, call 112.
  • Explain your situation to the advisor/dispatcher.
  • Listen to their instructions and act accordingly.

When you are concerned about someone else

  • Try to talk to the person you are concerned about yourself first. If they are willing to listen to you and you are still worried, encourage them to contact our advice and guidance service for families.
  • Some people find it difficult to listen and take advice from others. If you cannot get through to the person or family you are concerned about and you are still worried, you can contact our advice and guidance service for families yourself. If you need help urgently, call our social services emergency number or 112. You can also report your concerns anonymously.
