The local authority responsible for the Lappeenranta Region Environmental Office is the City of Lappeenranta. In the City of Lappeenranta and the municipalities of Lemi, Savitaipale and Taipalsaari, the Environmental Office performs statutory environmental health care, veterinary care and environmental protection duties assigned to local authorities. In Luumäki, the Environmental Office performs environmental health care and veterinary care duties.
