The Digital and Population Data Services Agency has made reforms to Suomi.fi Messages user logic on the basis of client feedback in the following ways.
The activation of Suomi.fi Messages has been made more clear. The service can be activated either through the Suomi.fi web service or by downloading the Suomi.fi mobile application.
As a result of the reforms, the user will be informed more clearly about the type of service Suomi.fi Messages is and the types of messages that can be received through it.
In particular, the situation in which Suomi.fi Messages is being activated on behalf of another person has been clarified.

In addition, the Digital and Population Data Services Agency has clarified the operating logic of Suomi.fi Messages for individuals and companies using the service.
Suomi.fi Messages only sends messages to the recipient in electronic format or by paper mail. Messages sent by paper mail cannot be read electronically in Suomi.fi Messages. Due to this clarification, the privacy statement for the service has also been updated.
