You have a right to check the information that is stored in the civilian service register about you.

The Civilian Service Centre has a social welfare officer who can provide you with guidance and advice.

If you are a Finnish citizen and also a citizen of another country, you can apply for exemption from alternative civil service.

In peacetime, you can request a temporary or a complete exemption from the non-military service for health reasons.

On reasonable grounds, you can request transfer to another placement during alternative civil service.

You can, on proper grounds, request a transfer of the civilian service position during the labour service.

When applying for a passport, you will need a clearance statement from Civilian Service Centre or the placement organisation.
