Choosing a health and social services centre

Everyone has their own health and social services centre within their wellbeing services county, and you are a resident of the wellbeing services county where your municipality of residence is located. As a public healthcare client, you can also choose which health centre you wish to use.

You can choose the place of treatment for non-emergency care from among the health and social services centres in your wellbeing services county and also throughout Finland. You can be a client of only one health and social services centre at a time. Your health and social services centre will provide all primary healthcare services such as doctor's and nurse's appointments, dental care and rehabilitation services.

If you want to change your health and social services centre, fill in the form on the wellbeing services county’s website or submit a free-form notification. If necessary, ask for more information from your own shealth and social services centre.
