Early childhood education and care (ECEC) centres are open Monday to Friday from 7 am to 5 pm (and if necessary from 6 am to 6 pm to accommodate work and study).
Some ECEC centres are open Monday to Sunday until 10 pm. 24-hour ECEC centre is open every day around the clock.
Depending on the child’s need for early childhood education and care, the following options are available:

Early childhood education and care may be given to a child who has not reached the age of compulsory education.
Early childhood education and care may also be given to a child who has already reached the age of compulsory education if special circumstances so require and care cannot be otherwise arranged.
Act on Client Fees in Early Childhood Education and Care (in Finnish)
A fee is charged for the service.
The client fee for early childhood education and care is determined on the basis of the family’s size and income, and the services required.
Client fees for early childhood education are governed by the Act on Client Fees in Early Childhood Education and Care (1503/2016).
The ECEC fees are invoiced once a month with due date the 26th.
