Applying for a revocation of the right to officiate weddings

A registered religious community or officiator can apply for a revocation of a granted right to officiate weddings.

If the applicant is the officiator, they submit a free-form application on the revocation of their right to officiate weddings to the Digital and Population Data Services Agency. If the applicant is a religious community, the application must be accompanied with the officiator’s consent or other account on the cancellation of the right to officiate weddings.

The officiator can submit to the Digital and Population Data Services Agency, Oulu service location a free-form application on the cancellation of the right to officiate weddings.

If the applicant is a religious community, it submits a written application and a consent of the officiator to the revocation of the right to officiate weddings or other account on the cancellation of the right to officiate weddings.

A religious community is required to submit together with a written application and a consent of the officiator or other account on the cancellation of the right to officiate weddings.
