Do you act on behalf of another person or company? Make these changes in Suomi.fi Messages before 30 September 2026!

Do you use Suomi.fi Messages on behalf of another person, company or organisation?
Would you like to continue receiving notifications of these incoming messages?

If you have not yet verified your own email address in Suomi.fi Messages in the details of the mailbox for which you want to receive notifications of incoming messages, remember to do so before 30 September 2026! The notifications apply to messages sent to the person, company or organisation on whose behalf you are acting.

Unverified email addresses will be removed from Suomi.fi Messages on 30 September 2026

If you have already verified your email address, you do not need to do anything else.
The purpose of the change is to improve the data protection of Suomi.fi Messages.

The change ensures that

  • all persons acting on behalf of another person, company or organisation have the correct email address in Suomi.fi Messages to receive notifications of incoming messages
  • all email addresses in use are confirmed to work
  • all email addresses can be identified as belonging to a person.

How to verify your email address:

  • Go to Suomi.fi Messages at https://www.suomi.fi/messages.
  • Use electronic identification tokens to identify yourself in Suomi.fi Messages.
  • Select the person, company or organisation on whose behalf you wish to act.
  • Go to "Settings".
  • Add your own email address under "Notifications to a personal email address".

    Adding an email address in Suomi.fi Messages

  • You will be asked to confirm the email address by entering the numeric code sent to the email. For more detailed instructions on changing and confirming your email address, see the Email and push notifications guide for Suomi.fi Messages.
  • If you have an old unconfirmed email address in Suomi.fi Messages, remove the old address from the "Email addresses to be removed from the mailbox" list.

Removing an old email address from Suomi.fi Messages

  • Repeat the process for all persons, companies or other organisations on whose behalf you are authorised to act.
