Recruiting an employee
Manage recruitment mandates
Why is it important to check the mandates?
It is usually possible to use the services related to the recruitment of an employee and the employer's obligations electronically. Most Finnish public administration organisations use Suomi.fi e-Authorizations to verify their right to use services.
Before starting the recruitment process, make sure that you can manage matters electronically or that you have assignees to manage matters on behalf of your organisation. This way, the recruitment process will proceed according to the schedule you have planned, and there will be no delays in managing matters.
Who can act on behalf of the organisation in electronic services?
On behalf of the organisation can act persons,
- who have the right to manage the organisation's affairs alone on the basis of legislation or the rules of signing, and this data is stored in the Trade Register or the Register of Associations
- who have been granted a mandate to manage matters on behalf of the organisation in Suomi.fi e-Authorizations.
The organisation chooses who may handle its matters in e-services.
- The person may be an owner, one of the employees or, for example, an accountant.
- If a person cannot act on behalf of an organisation without a separate authorisation, they must be granted the necessary mandates in Suomi.fi e-Authorizations. If you grant mandates to an accountant, the mandates must be granted to the company managing financial administration that then authorises your accountant to manage your organisation's affairs.
Please note that the services may differ in what roles the organisation can act on behalf of without a separate authorisation.

Who can act on your behalf in electronic services?
You can use the services yourself or authorise a person to handle the matters you have selected.
How do I grant the right mandates?
General instructions for granting mandates can be found on the Suomi.fi e-Authorizations instructions page:
- Granting mandates as an organisation if the company has a business ID
- Granting mandates as a person if you do not have a business ID
Always read the services' own instructions so that
- you become aware whether you need to grant any mandates
- you know how to select the mandate themes that the service has adopted.
