Youth Services grants

To support youth work and substance abuse prevention, local associations in Uusikaupunki are granted annual basic and project subsidies. The Welfare and Leisure Committee awards the grants from the Youth Services budget. Each association can receive funding either for youth work or for substance abuse prevention, and the type of activity is defined by the organisation’s central body.

The application periods for grants are defined in the specific grant guidelines. Late applications will not be processed by the committee. The payment schedules are also explained in the grant-specific guidelines.

To whom and on what terms

Grants can be applied for by:

  • Youth organisations based in Uusikaupunki, with at least two-thirds of members under 29 years of age
  • Independent youth groups that organise activities for young people in Uusikaupunki, with at least two-thirds of members under 29 years of age
  • Sobriety associations based in Uusikaupunki, whose main purpose is substance abuse prevention
