Instructions for Service Providers

  1. Please read the information and rules in the service rulebook on the Finnish Language Training Voucher page at turku.fi before submitting a binding registration.
  2. If you wish to provide Finnish language training through the voucher scheme, register as a service provider via the electronic service channel.
  3. Approved service providers will receive further instructions on topics such as adding courses to the training calendar, directing clients to language proficiency tests, and using the Training Portal.

Instructions for individual customers

  1. An employment services specialist will assess your situation and, if necessary, refer you to Finnish language training.
  2. At the beginning of the training, you will be invited to an information session and a language proficiency test. Based on the test results, you will be placed in a group that matches your current level of Finnish language skills.

To whom and on what terms

The Voucher for Finnish Language Training may be granted to clients of Turku Employment and Business Services who need Finnish language training to strengthen their language skills. The training is intended for individuals who are no longer eligible for integration training.

Training funded through the voucher may be provided by institutions such as folk high schools, adult education centres, workers’ institutes, and summer universities. The training offered by a service provider must support the learning of Finnish and help participants, for example, in their studies, working life, and everyday interactions.
