Reporting a Vehicle Left on the Road
You can report a vehicle left on the highway by telephoning the Road User Line, tel. 0200 2100. Give information about the location of the vehicle (municipality, address, road number or name) and the registration or other identification of the vehicle.
Retrieving Your Own Vehicle
The vehicle can be retrieved from the storage within 30 days the service of the decision.
When retrieving the vehicle, you must present a receipt of the paid tow-away fee and personal identification.
If the owner does not retrieve the towed vehicle within 30 days the service of the decision, the vehicle will become property of the municipality on whose area it was found.

Information on fees
A fee is charged for the service.
Fees:
Storage of a vehicle other than a lorry or a heavy vehicle: EUR 250 and local tow-away EUR 125;
Storage or local tow-away of lorries or other heavy vehicles costs EUR 100 plus the actual costs.
The owner or holder of the vehicle is also responsible for reimbursing the municipality for the costs of storage and possible waste disposal.
