Do the following

Applications for a place in language immersion are to be filed during the year when the child turns four (4). The annual application period is in March. Each year, a presentation event about language immersion is also organized before the application period starts. The event is open for all interested in the activities.

To whom and on what terms

The main home language of a child applying for a language immersion day-care centre must be Finnish. In the language immersion school, part of the teaching is in Finnish.

Language immersion can be applied for in the year when the child turns 4 years old. There is also a continuous search for language immersion for 5- and 6-year-olds. The language immersion will start by the end of October at the latest.

Admission to a language immersion school requires at least attending language immersion preschool or mastering equivalent language skills.
