Support to promote labour mobility in the EU

If you are interested in applying for support from the Targeted Mobility Scheme, contact EURES customer service by e-mail at eures@te-toimisto.fi. You will receive more detailed instructions on how to apply. The support application is addressed to a TMS project coordinated by either Sweden or Germany. Please note that the support application must always be submitted before starting work, moving or a planned job interview trip, so contact us well in advance for instructions on how to apply.

To whom and on what terms

You can apply for funding from the Targeted Mobility Scheme project if:

  • you are at least 18 years old
  • you are a citizen of an EU country, Norway, or Iceland
  • you have lived in an EU country or Norway/Iceland for a long time and are looking for work in another EU country or Norway/Iceland
  • you have contacted the EURES services and received advice on applying for support (via eures@te-toimisto.fi or from EURES experts in your area)
  • you have an employment contract, in which the duration of the work is at least 6 months (the employer must be the same as in the support application)
  • you work for the entire period, i.e. at least the required 6 months, otherwise the support may be fully recovered
  • working time is at least 50% of the full-time employee's working time
  • terms of employment comply with national labour market legislation and practices (e.g. minimum wage in the sector, collective agreements)
  • the employer pays a salary that is not tied to the result / is not commission-based
  • you are not receiving support from other sources, such as employers, other projects or authorities (e.g. reimbursement of travel expenses, accommodation)
  • you are not a posted worker

Please also note the following when applying for support

  • the support application must arrive no later than the day before the move and start of work or the day before the interview
  • you need to attach a copy of the job advertisement in the support application
  • these supports are one-off, i.e. once the application has been approved, the support is paid once
