  • Public service

Suomi.fi Finnish Service Catalogue (FSC) is a national centralised data repository in which municipalities, central government and the private sector describe their services and service channels in a customer-oriented manner.

The Finnish Service Catalogue contains open data, which means that it can be accessed across a public interface from anywhere else, such as from online services, chatbots and map services. All content described in the FSC is also displayed in Suomi.fi Web Service.

The Digital and Population Data Services Agency produces the FSC application and the open interfaces, while each organisation commissioning the FSC is responsible for the production, maintenance and development of its service descriptions according to the FSC data model and its terms and conditions of use.

The Act on Central Government’s Joint e-Service Support Services (571/2016) obligates public administration organisations to describe their services in the FSC. Other actors have the right to use the FSC.

Do the following

Suomi.fi Finnish Service Catalogue can be commissioned by applying for a licence on the Service Management website (Palveluhallinta): log into Service Management, fill in the preconditions for use form and the licence application, accept the terms and conditions of use and send the application. We will contact you when the application has been processed.

In is important that you read the presentation of Suomi.fi Finnish Service Catalogue on the Service Management website before applying for the licence. On the website, you will also find the user instructions page (in Finnish) on which links to the key instructions have been compiled.

To whom and on what terms

Before Suomi.fi Finnish Service Catalogue can be used, the service must be commissioned, and the terms and conditions of use must be accepted. The organisation joining the FSC must name at least two main users. At least one of them should preferably be a communications specialist. Everyone producing content to the FSC must complete the online training for the FSC driving licence (available in Finnish and in Swedish).

The service is free of charge.
