The Governing Body of Suomenlinna manages approximately 330 of the some 350 apartments in Suomenlinna. The apartments managed by the Governing Body are non-subsidised rental apartments owned by the State.

Applying for an apartment

Apartments managed by the Governing Body become available very seldom. Information about the available apartments can be found on the website. You can apply for an apartment only during the application period. Usually apartments become available after residents move out. Hardly any new apartments are constructed in Suomenlinna.

To ensure fair treatment, apartments are awarded to applicants with a raffle. The only restriction is the size of the applying household in relation to the size of the available apartment.

Suomenlinna resident services

The Governing Body of Suomenlinna serves the residents of Suomenlinna in issues related to rents, keys, property management and sauna booking, among other things.
