The summer job voucher is a support from the City of Tampere that helps employers hire young people under 18 years old for summer jobs. The voucher covers a part of the young person's salary. Each young person is eligible for only one voucher per summer, and the voucher is non-transferable.

There is a limited number of vouchers available, and they are granted on a first-come, first served basis. ...

Do the following

If you are a young person seeking a summer job and wish to apply for a summer job voucher, both you and your employer must fill out a form together before you begin working. The updated Kesäduuni website of the City of Tampere contains the form under the Summer Job Voucher section. This is only in Finnish. The form will be available from 1st April 2024, when the application period starts.

After the completion of the summer job, the employer needs to apply for the voucher payment separately. The payment application should be submitted between July 1 and September 27, 2024. The application form is also available on the City of Tampere's Kesäduuni website under the section "Kesätyöseteli". It is important to note that applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.

To whom and on what terms

The employer must have a Finnish business ID. The employer can be, for example, a company, an organisation, a parish or a foundation. The voucher is not valid for municipal or state jobs.

You can apply for a summer job voucher if you are at least 15 years old or turn 15 in 2024. You must also be under 18 years old for the entire duration of your summer job. Your home municipality is Tampere. The summer job voucher is intended for only one summer job. If you have already received a summer internship or another summer job from the City of Tampere, you cannot apply for a summer job voucher.
