Submission of the emissions report

An operator covered by the Emissions Trading Act shall submit an annual emissions report on CO2 emissions that the installation has emitted into the atmosphere during the previous calendar year. The emissions report reports on, among other things, the installation's carbon dioxide emissions and the baseline data used in their calculation.

Do the following

  1. Use Suomi.fi e-Authorization to authorise one or more people as the company’s FINETS system user. The authorisation is called the Provision of information on emissions permits and emissions reports. If the Suomi.fi e-Authorization cannot be made, please contact us by e-mail at paastolupa@energiavirasto.fi.
  2. Submit the emissions report for verification to the verifier approved by the Energy Authority in FINETS.
  3. Submit the verified emissions report to the Energy Authority in FINETS.

To whom and on what terms

Using FINETS requires that the operator has authorised its representative to use Suomi.fi e-Authorization to use the system.

Deadline

The verified emissions report and the verification report must be returned annually to the Energy Authority by 31 March.
